Listened to an audiobook. To be honest, "The Slight Edge" dould be summed up in a leaflet of four pages. The premise of the book is-take action-don't sacrifice long term goals over short term satisfaction-"easy to do, but also easy not to do-take action-have a plan, do it and review it-take actionThe last part of the books is a rehash of well known platitude, served as a holy wisdom and not supported by any scientific research.I don't really get how it has such high average rating here on Goodreads...
Good read, although in essence it's just one experiment in many variations described throughout the book with different "lenses"Ariely is a great storyteller and uses his trademark sense of humor to make the content more accessible.
Great recap of all the known cures for procrastination, but one of the best deliveries on the topic. Concise and to the point. Listen to the audiobook and then review the main points in the book
